Create your own yoga Sequence
What you need: Presentation (100) and Demonstration (100)
Presentation: Due: Friday, Nov 9th
5pt Poster
5pt Title - Ex., Sun Salutation
10pt Theme - Ex., A Yoga sequence to wake up your muscles and get you ready for your day
10pt When to Use this sequence - Ex., Use this sequence every morning when you wake up to energize you and to get you ready for your day.
5pt each pose. 10-15 Yoga Poses
5pt Pictures of you (the student) in each of the poses. Each student in the group must be represented in at least one Yoga Pose.
Name of each pose pictured. (If a pose is original, i.e., you made it up, it still must have a name).
15pt Aesthetic Quality, i.e, neatness, beauty, color, accuracy of poses.
Pictures must be presented in order of sequence.
Pictures of modified stretches are encouraged.
Demonstration: Due: Monday and Tuesday November, 12th and 13th During Block 2
10pt Students should be wearing clothes conducive to fitness, i.e., no jeans.
10pt All students must use their full range of motion.
15pt Poses are to be specific, (modified poses from some members of the group are encouraged 5pts extra for modified poses).
45 pt Answer all of the following questions to yourself and amongst your group.
Which way are my feet facing? Where are my arms? Are my legs bent or straight? Are my arms bent or straight? Are my feet open or closed? Which way are my hips facing? Which way are my shoulders facing? Where am I looking? Where is my head?
10pt All members of the group are expected to be focused. (Dusting off your hands and bodies, fixing your hair and looking around during your demonstration time will result in a deduction of points)
10pt Change poses by an agreed upon signal. I.E., counting, calling out the next pose, finger snaps, claps etc.
