6-9 Fitness over Winter Break

Happy Saturday, and a merry weekend!

Over the holiday break, I would like everyone to keep up with (OR START DOING) his or her Personal Fitness Plan. I would also like us all (including me) to add one Yoga sequence to our plans at least three times a week. Please add paper to your fitness folders and keep a log of all your fitness activities. Logs should include: Day, Date, Start Time, End Time, and Activity. Please have a structure for your log that is concise and easy to read. You may use the following format.

• Warm up: 5:00-5:15
• Power Walk: 5:15-5:45
• Sun Salutation: 5:45-6:30

• Swan dive
• Arch the back
• Release the back
• Bend the knees
• Jump or step back into Plank
• Chataraga
• Over the tops of toes into Upward Dog
• Over the tops of toes into Downward Dog
• Jump or step in
• Arch the back
• Release the back
• Reverse swan dive
• Into Bending Mountain Pose
• Mountain Pose

Total Balance
• Mountain Pose
• Step back into Warrior 1
• Open to Warrior 2
• Bend over into Triangle
• Bend front leg into Side Angle Stretch
• Lean into front leg, lift back leg into Half Moon
• Turn the hip over into Warrior 3
• Bring the leg down and back into Crescent Lunge
• Crescent Lunge Twist
• Frog Stance
• Mountain Pose
